Blower Resistor Which one

The blower is not working on my 98 328IS. After reading the forum, probably need resistor pack. Looking on line for parts, one shows the final stage resistor and one shows the resistor pack. So which one is correct?

Generally it's the Final Stage Resistor that's the problem, though I suppose that's not the case 100% of the time.
