I drove my 1995 325i into my driveway, parked it, and installed a brake light circuit (switch) with no problems. I hooked everything back up double checking all was hooked back up correctly. I tried to start my car and got nothing. I assume I drained the battery somehow but it will not take a jump start eiher and the interrior lights and emergency flashers work. Any ideas? I have six hours to fix this problem so your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Replacing a switch without first disconnecting the battery may have resulted in a blown fuse. You indicate that the interior lights work so a dead battery is not likely. Start with checking the fuses.

Thanks a lot. I will try that when I get home from work. I'll let you know how it goes.

I would agree with G-man, its possible you blew a fuse so you should start by checking there, fuse 16, 28, and 39 all have to do with the engine control module, so you may want to start there. You may also want to look in your trunk around your battery, perhaps when you disconnected the wires from the terminals you damaged one of them and are getting a bad connection or ground that allows enough flow for things such as interior lights and flashers to work, but not enough to start the engine.
Good luck man!
