My '95 525i M50 motor is onits 4th water pump (162k miles). This last one only lasted 16 months and 14k miles.
I know that the early pumps had plastic impellers and they were breaking very quickly. The replacements supposedly have aluminum impellers.
This is the third time the stupid thing has left my wife stranded due to a water pump failure.
Can someone shed some light on this.
