What is the best lease deal that anyone has got on a 2003 x5. My wife and I are considering a 2003 ML350. And wanted to compare our deal to the x5 rates. Does anyone have residual info or interest rates? Our deal on the ML was $2000 under invoice on a 2003 ML350 (12,000 miles per year). $2000 down plus about $1500 first month, taxes, tags etc.. the payment came to $445.06. Are lease interest rates negotiable? I would really like an X5 but this seems like a pretty good deal. And I know the ML's aren't flying off of the lots.

Thanks,

Larry

We put $2000 total down on our X5. It had an MSRP of about $47,000. Our payment is about $633/month (including tax) for the next 36 months.

Since you are putting $2000 PLUS $1500 down, I will take the extra $1500 and divide it by 36 payments to compare apples to apples. That is about another $42 a month. This means your payment is comparatively about $500/month. That is a great deal, except you are driving an ML350 for three years....

Personally, I wouldn't shop by payments alone, or you will find yourself driving a used Tercel.

The BMW is much more fun to drive, much better looking, much safer, and much more modern. The buying public knows this, and prefers the BMW. This means the Mercedes will sit on the lot... this is why the lease rates on the ML are more attractive!

Agree with Emission. The ML drives like crap. Cars are an irrational and extravagant expense anyway, so why not fork out for one you WILL enjoy driving? Worth the difference IMHO.

BMW's are such great daily drivers, I can't imagine putting up with anything else.

ALso, the ML has tended to have very poor reliability. Granted, the X5 hasn't been so great either-- but its been better than the ML. As others have pointed out, the X5 will driver better too, and it has a nicer interior.

Yes, I regret not buying a base 325i 5-speed instead of my Passat. The BMW would have been $100 more a month... but it would have been worth every penny.

Ditch it.

I ate the loss on a new CRV -> X5, and don't regret it one bit.

Of course, that meant no 911 for me, but hey, one day when the kids are older!

[QUOTE=Masskrug]Ditch it.[QUOTE]

I am very close to doing that.

Right now, the payment is only $319/month... so it is nearly nothing for a reliable and safe car. Too bad it is boring. By the end of the summer, I may make a decision...

$660 no money down 18000 miles a year 39 mos. felt like that was a good deal. 2006 has blue tooth though
