I read up on the ED and was trying to determine price. I'm using the 2009 model price guide, current as of September 2008 so I'll add 0.7% at the end.
Base 43210
Steptronic 1260
paddle shifters 90
comfort acess 455
Nav with HD radio 1910
Satellite Radio 540
Logic 7 sound 795
Ipod 365
metallic paint 500
cold weather 820
premium 1500
sport 1275
Sub Total 52720
With 0.7% 53090
destination 825
Dealer 750
Total 54,665
Does this sound right? How does sales tax or other taxes work into this?
Thanks

So you're taking up my suggestion of doing ED, huh? :roundel:
P.S. destination, profit and base wholesale are taxable, so you need to add that up before you figure the sales tax. Also, you need to be using January pricing as there was a price increase on January 1. And why is $750 the magic number and not $1k-1,500? :dunno:

lmao
Tiara: Adrian's right you can try $750 over inv. on a cab, but I seriously doubt that you'll get many bites on it. And I'm sensing Adrian won't bite on it.
$1K over invoice on a Cab is a good to excellent deal and anything under $1500 over invoice is still a very fair to good deal.

...and it will be foolish not to buy from him if you're in Atlanta. The guy knows ED inside out and you will have the trip of a lifetime. Adrian, #3 is coming up next year!

I think you need to do a search... as you will come to realize that the board sponsors here such as Adrian are gonna be your best bet, pricing and service.
Unless you are the type who likes to spend a dollar to save a nickle.... you can save alot of time and agony by getting the straight scoope from Adrian.
The board sponsors here have alot to lose as their reputation is on the line everyday and words gets around quickly.

I'm just trying to do my homework here. And this board's own wiki noted that either 700-1200 or 700-1500 (I think the former) was a good deal. So sue me for using the information here.
Too much negativity... turns me off from the whole thing.

You may not recognize it, but you have already begun negotiations. So, take a deep breath, go over your numbers and double check that you have the right ones, and, when you are ready, make your offer.
You have already made the first offer, at $750. They came back saying $1 - 1.5K is a good deal.
So, decide, and then make a firm offer, off thread, and continue your negotiations.
Don't get frustrated.

Tiara,
Sowwwy we're not trying to be negative here.
We're just trying to give you as much info as possible and info that is reliable. Not some 1 out of 100 ridiculous deal that someone got.
Too often we've had members come back and post "what do I do now? My CA left the dealership and the GM or new CA won't return my calls or yadda yadda." Or the ever popular, "my CA doesn't have too much experience with EDs and it seems that I'm doing all the work to keep on top of everything."
We all just want to help members be an informed buyer and to make the process as painless and non-frustrating as possible. Because let's face it, planning a trip is already stressful enough and the last thing you want is the ED ordering process to add to the stress level.
The whole ED process is supposed to be an exciting adventure and not some heart attack inducing situation.
