crazy dash action...helP

[babyeater]

yesterday i noticed while i was driving to work that the only meter on my dash that was working was my speedometer. All of the lights work on my dash, but all the needles are all the way down to the left. also my oil lights are all out of wack. they stay lit while im driving but they flicker while i drive. i checked all the fuses relating to the dash, but all is good there. now i know BMW is infamous for linking multiple fuses to multiple things, but what??? if anybody has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it

I think you're gonna want to check the connection to the back of your cluster. Sounds like a poor connection or faulty ground IMO.

+1 take the cluster off and check the connections..
There are 3 of them..
There is a DIY page on the net how to do it, its not hard but not easy either..
I took mine off when one of the bulbs was gone. If you take it off I say you could change the bulbs too, if you want the dash to be a lil brighter
