I saw a new Z4 in NJ on the GSP yesterday

A young kid was driving it with dealer plates going south on the GSP around exit 138-The car was grey and all BMW labels had dark covers over them. Owning a 535 I was really not up on the Z4 but knew this was something that I had never seen before so I went on line and confirmed that it matched the picture posted for the 09.

Interestingly about 4 cars behind it was a new M3 4 door sedan that caught my eye because the hood had a little raised scoop in the middle which I had never seen before.

I'll have to keep my eyes out for one...I work just down the road from BMW NA and usually get glimpses of the new models driving around a month or two before they end up at the dealers. Haven't seen the new Z4 in person yet but I'm expecting it'll be around soon.

Used to live in Hillsdale & still get up to Hackensack on a regular basis for business. Will run by Davey's Locker in Montvale next time I'm up (two weeks) and see if some of my friends from Operations are throwing darts. When I lived there, it was pretty common to see the new models (E90, etc.) running around the Montvale/Woodcliff Lakes/Park Ridge/Upper Saddle River area prior to actual US release.

No -I have a 5 series and have paid little attention to the 3 series or the M3.
