Hi, my girlfrien have a 328ic, din't came with the owner manual, is there a PDF version of the manual manual. Or maybe some one with a manual can tell me what are the yellow light means in the dash board.
- I got a check engine, is there a way to reset that code easily?
- Is that true only syntetic oil should be put in the engine?
- Trying to help to fix the check engine problem, went to the dealer and got a new gas cap, it fit perfectly, but is a little different than the one that was there. Also I brought it to the emission inspection (not the dealer), they test the NEW gas cap and found it faulty. So if you own that model can you tell me how it look or if you have a picture.? The first 3 is the old gas cap, the 4th is the tank and the last is the new.

-You do realize there's more than one yellow light on the dash, right?
-For a 97, you'd need an OBDII code reader to reset it. Or, there are plenty of shops that'll read and reset codes for free.
-No. You can use either one, but once you go synthetic you can't switch back to regular I don't see any reason at all to no use synthetic.
-If emissions testing found the gas cap faulty, just take it back and have them give you another one. Have a service tech take a peek if it's not fitting right.

Can I reset the check engine light by disconnecting the battery for 1h?
if I reset the code how long in miles should I drive after to have it clear?

NO
If you fix the code, its gone. If you don't fix a code then its going to return.

Its obd-ii so it has to be cleared by a code reader. I bought one for 40 bucks because I got tired of going to shops to have them turn it off.
