Question, I'm in a town that has no BMW dealership, yet I own a BMW and the nearest one is about 2 1/2 hours away. I'm tired of Driving that far just to have a seatbelt sensor reset, or to clear an error code. Has anyone here purchased a good BMW Diagnostics kit, would it be worth it? There are a couple of good ones I've found, but I can't get a price on them. Any help such as a trusted site to order from, or even what the prices might be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

For diagnostic codes presented when a check engine light comes on, your best bet is a scan tool from Peake Research. These tools are BMW-Specific, and only read the BMW factory diagnostic codes - NOT OBDII. They are hand-held and very easy to use.
Please have a look at the article titled "Is your check engine light on?" linked in my signature for further information.
We carry these tools at low prices, and include FREE Priority shipping for domestic orders. The engine code tool for your 530i costs $139.95, which will easily pay for itself the first time it saves you the 2 1/2 hour trip to the dealer!
