Purchasing from a wheel repair/refinishing shop?

Just curious as to what everyone's thoughts are. I'm considering purchasing some 71s (price is about $150 less per wheel from full retail), but I've never purchased repaired/refinished wheels.

Flat out dumb move, or something worth considering?

Any thoughts/insights are appreciated.
