Help importing a BMW M Coupe

hey guys im thinking about buying a m coupe that is currently located in the UK. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with importing a car into the US and knew how much it might cost and any tips i might need!!!!

Before spending any money, find out exactly what will be needed to Federalize that particular car....it might prove to be cost-prohibitive....

can i ask why you would buy it in the uk? is it something rare or special that can't be gotten here?

this sounds like the beginning of a craigslist scam...

-super low price
-car is out of the country but will be shipped at the seller's expense, money exchanged when car arrives in good condition.
-only need a 2K deposit

it usually ends with the person sending the money for the deposit, thinking its safe since the seller is taking the risk by doing COD. car doesnt even really exist. your out the low low deposit
