Gary, best time to buy snow wheel/tire combo?

Hi Gary,

Thanks for sponsoring this board. My 330 will be arriving sometime in August and I plan to buy my snow tires & wheels through you. Do you have any advice on when is a good time to place the order? I'd prefer to wait a bit, but my main concern is to avoid stock shortages or price jumps based on demand for the approaching winter. Are the prices substantially cheaper in the summer or am I OK waiting until September / October? I'll probably buy the Dunlop M2's and either the 16" wheels or a cheap set of 17"ers if that's relevant.

Also, I'm assuming I should email you when I'm ready to order, rather than going through the main tirerack site? Or will using on of the links in your sticky posts put the order in your name?

Great question! We usually just start to recieve inventory in late August/early September, and the 'rush' normally begins in October. We should have a relatively inexpensive 16" alloy wheel that will clear the 330's brakes. I can either help you with the order over the phone, or if you order through the Tire Rack site, there is a blank in the ordering process for 'previous contact' where you can enter my name so the web guys will forward me your order (and thanks for asking!) :thumbup: .
