KrisL set up an IRC server for Bimmerfest - we've got an E36 room that we can access here:

So, jump in there and goof off, tease, annoy, chat with, and hang out with other members!

Use your name or Bimmerfest username as the username, but I think it's limited to 9 characters.

If you're having problems with black screens or other issues, you can try this link: http://www.mountainroads.com/bimmerfestchat2/e36. Of course, FireFox or another good browser should solve it as well. Alternately, if you have your own IRC Client you can jump into the fray at: tomorrow.linquist.net:6667, channel #e36.

Post up in this thread if you're venturing in so everyone else knows when it's worthwhile to go in there and it's not empty.

That's really messed up.
I went in, and said "Hi."
Every time I move my mouse the screen goes black. I can see again if I maximize or minimize, but can't type because the box isn't selected and I can't move my mouse to get there 0.o

For those a bit more adventurous, on Mozilla's FTP server they've got Minefield, which is basically FF 3.1. It's still in alpha, but I've been using it and it's a damn stable alpha build. Java is lighting fast on it.

I was looking to see if i could express what i wanted to say in the smileys , like JJ's own hieroglyphics , but i don't think there's a comprehensive enough range to choose from , that way all you US riders out there would probably understand the pictures better than words . Well, that's what they try to do. But the state has these stupid regulations that make you go to class instead of helpin the family business, so they have to wait till AFTER class to go take care of the chickens.

They've also started this new thing called "No Kid Left Behind", so they just pass everyone after you've taken the classes too many times, regardless of what grade you actually make. It helps keep the 21 year olds out of high school.

It's the idiots who can't seem to realize that if the phone convo is cutting into your driving concentration by anything more than a tiny amount then you need to hang up. I've seen people in freaking emotional conversations barreling down the road. :eek: So instead, they just say it's got to be hands free. Big lot of good that does. It's not the tiny thing you're holding, you can drop that to avoid an accident, it's that you can't chew gum and walk so talking on the phone is too much for some peoples' sh*tforbrains to handle!
