these look pretty official... do we have any info if this is "fake' "rendering" or the real thing?

I'm glad to see them cleaning up the body lines, but does anyone else think the front is too docile? I just can't imagine the F10 M5 looking as bad ass as it should.

after the e60 front i think everything is going to look docile :)

If these are official the F10 looks very good IMHO. Really like how the lines flow unlike the messed up E60.

I don't see why you think e60 does not have line flow and looks messed up... its following the same trend as the e39 then e60 and f10..

yes the e60 was DRASTICALLY different which put off almost all buyers including me... but truth be told i like the e60s now... specially the lci m sports.

These images are not even close to official. They are computer renderings, and not very good ones at that. Looks like a very lazy artist blended the front end of a 5 Series GT with an F01--then reproduced all of the design details of the F01 in 7/8ths scale. The flanks and the rear end are taken from the 7er shamelessly and the proportions are pretty goofy. Putting quad pipes on it was an interesting choice.

An interesting computer image, but a far cry from the F10.

Philippe, I keep telling all these people it is WAY too early to have any real, useful idea of what the actual car is going to look like. If they'd just think about the new 7er and Z4. BMW did an excellent job of keeping the true looks of the cars under wraps until just before they were officially unveiled. Oh well, people love to speculate.
