I recently made some phone calls to this BMW dealership in McKinleyville, CA. Although it was late on a Saturday afternoon, the receptionist (who has been there since day 1 of dealership) was most accommodating and helpful. Parts people had left, and she volunteered to look up a BMW VIN to identify what options a particular car had. Now, I make a ton of calls to various dealerships all week long for a variety of purposes. I have never seen anyone so helpful, especially at the end of a Saturday afternoon. I suspect that attitude permeates the dealership because she and I talked a lot about customer service and how good/bad some dealers and customers are. I highly compliment her and her dealership. I also hope her sales dept, service dept, and parts dept are on the same page.

Actually, I called out there a week later and talked with the parts mgr. He too displayed a similar attitude. Has anyone else experienced good vibes about this dealership? Just curious.

Here is their contact info:

I didn't even know there was a BMW store up there. Good to know for trips up to Eureka and "The Lost Coast" area. Great scenery up in the north, well worth a trip, but not in the rain! Thanks for the info!

I didn't even know there was a BMW store up there.

+1 The name doesn't even sound familiar--that is one small dealership (not that there's anything wrong with that).

If anyone wants to go to nowhere, Ms, there is Sunbelt BMW in Meridian, Ms. Good people. I would lease cars for work from them, and they would make a 5 hour trip to deliver them to my bosses in Memphis, Tn. Also a small dealership, but very honest, etc. I call a key person there named Chris Spears (FI??) about once a year just to say hi.

I was really flattered and relieved to see this post. I was the one who you actually spoke with that day at BMW of Humboldt Bay. Although I***8217;ve left the company, I still try to stay up-to-date and reviews and check in on them. Thanks for the good review; this past year (almost a year since I***8217;ve been gone) they***8217;ve been collecting some unseemly reviews. Which, aren***8217;t necessarily unwarranted, but in my forum experience, people like to talk more negatively than positively. Kevin, the parts manager is still there, so if you ever need any help, just let him know! :)

Nic, thanks for the update. Sorry to hear of the negatives. You are right of course people tend to post when they have a problem, not when they are happy. I guess the next closest BMW store up there would be in Oregon!
