View Full Version : Can I order 18" wheels as an ZMP upgrade on a 328 Sedan?

Does anyone have access to an order guide? I am considering a 328i sedan with ZMP but I hate the 17" wheels that it includes. Can I upgrade the package to the 18" wheels that are included with ZMP on the 328 coupe and on the 335s? If so, what is the MSRP for the upgrade?

Thanks

I agree with you all the way, but unfortunately the 17"s are the only factory option. IMO even the new M Sport wheels aren't too attractive. (And I also like the 328i Coupe Sport wheels...too bad they're not available on the sedan!)

Before the package was removed from the website, upgrading to the 18" ZMP wheels was listed as an option on the 328 ZMP. I'm pretty sure I remember the cost as $500. I chose it when I was configuring a 328 ZMP. I'll be glad when they get it back up on the website.

Any of you dealers know the answer to this one? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

There is bulletin out that states you can order the 18" M wheels 198s not sure of price, I have it PDF form. The 19inch 225s were on the site while it was up also, not sure what the hold up is on the ZMP info.

Can you share additional info - is there a bulletin number? My salesman told me that I can't order the 18s on the 328 with ZMP.

Thanks

I did some bulletin searching and can't find anything that says definitively. However, as I mentioned, when BMW had the package on their website they had the 18" ZMP wheels listed as an option with the 328 ZMP. I remember this very clearly, because I was pleased and I chose the option as I configured the car.

Its listed as Product Planning and Strategy, BMW Dealer bulletin, release of M-Sport package, I got it on this site so do a search. It has the 17 AND the 18 inch wheels listed for the 3 series. Look it up under M-Sport PKG. Again its a PDF file.

Yes 18"s on Cps, Verts and 335's but not 328 Sdn's

Is this the document that you are referring to? If so, I do not see that it says anywhere which wheels come with which model or that you have a choice. From what I've been told, 328 sedans get the ugly 17s and all of the others get the beautiful M 18s.

I am sticking with the 328i coupe that I ordered over the weekend. I was thinking of changing to a sedan since its more practical and my sons will have an easier time getting into the back seat, but I've already had an e90 sedan and I really like the looks of the coupe, plus the doors of the sedan are just too small and, by the time I set the driver's seat in my position, I feel like I'm sitting in the back of the car.

I disagree. The sedan doors aren't too small. You're just too tall. :p

Not arguing with you guys since you obviously have access to more info than I do, but it seems odd that who ever wrote the code for the website would have included the 18" ZMP wheels as an option for the 328 sedan if BMW didn't tell him to. When I checked the box (when the package was up on the site) it added the wheels and added $500 as a separate charge. It also changed the wheels from the 17" ZMP wheels to the 18" wheels on the pic of the car.

caveatesq, On the PDF look at the columns/rows there is 1 wheel available with the 1 series and 2 wheels 17 and 18" for the 3 series it does not differentiate 335/328 the wheels are under the 3 series column/row IE draw a line straight down from the 3 series row/column and it will lead you to the 17 and 18" wheels. Do the same for the 5 series and you get only 1 wheel available for them, and 2 wheels available for the x series.

When trying to order 18"s on 328i/Xi Sdn here is what you get.
It's not available on the sdns, at least for now.

 That reminds me when I did the same thing and sent BMW ED a photo of why we couldn't pre-order models at one time in priority R way back when.

FWIW All of the 3 series on the South Africa BMW website get the 193 18" wheels on M-Sport package, the other option ($) is the 225 19" double spokes. Not even a 17" option over there, makes me wonder?

The note you posted references the new stand-alone upgrade to 17" wheels with all-season tires for the 328. The way is was on the website, when the package was on there, was that the upgrade to the ZMP 18" wheels was listed as an option box that could be checked within the M-Sport package "box". btw - it also appears the ZCW is not going to be available with the ZMP. I'm thinking because of the unique front bumper not being made to accommodate the headlight washers in the same way they're not making it with PDC.
