Interesting you say that. I am not particularly a fan of the E36 styling, see a black one and red one daily in my work garage, however, the other day I was driving next to a coworker of mine in an E36 M3 in silver. The top was down and I have to say, the car really looked nice. I was very pleasantly surprised. I test drove some E30s and E36s when I was car looking, before buying my MB SLK, and just couldn't warm up to them. When my neighbor got his E46 and I started seeing it on a regular basis, I really became attracted to BMW again. After seeing it up close and driving it, the rest, as they say, was history.
