I live in Memphis and go to college at UT Chattanooga and was wondering if there was any BMW enthusiests in those areas. I've noticed that there are a lot of people on this forum from California and they have weekend drives together. I was thinking that it would be cool if a few of us in the Tennessee area had similar get togethers.

Seems to me that its going to have to be a general area thing if you want any significant numbers. There are a few of us down on the Coast, too. Maybe meet somewhere in the middle so we can all be included? Yeah, I know it'd be a longer drive than just a couple hours... but it's a hell of a lot closer than driving all the way to California!

California, or the Explorer? :)

The trip, in spite of the explorer. I even folded the seats up and slept in the back instead of getting a hotel. Now I could get a hotel halfway and still make it there cheaper in the 328 because of the mpg's.

Yeah, I'm pumped for this semester because i will be driving the Tail of the Dragon on some weekends when I'm not too busy. 318 curves in 11 miles is like driving heaven!:)

If we are able to set up a drive in the East Tennessee area then that is the road i want to be driving on for sure. I would also love to drive with my neighbors in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. And Chad by the way the south is where its at.....but I'm sure you feel the same about the west. I guess everyone loves their own area and has something they love about the area.......except maybe the midwest because there is absolutely nothing there. I've stayed with families in Kansas and Oklahoma and I don't see any reason to live there unless you love flat roads that are endless with nothing to look at.

IE, avoid 4ngiefest at all costs if you don't want your car turd-burgled.

I am undecided. I'm thinking about coming to the Fest anyway, just to f*ck with some peoples' heads when a Jag is sitting there in the middle of the BMWs. Would be fun. :p
If you're there, it could be a reason to be sure not to come....but.....
If you're bringing the race car (on the MM-IIs, not the 44s, please), it could be a reason to clear my calendar so I can go <del>jizz all over</del> admire it.

I have an idea! Chad should come, and put a big BMW banner across his front windshield. It'll be cute.

Yeah, I'll print up some giant Roundels and stick em all over the car. OOOOOOOH - I just thought of an AWESOME idea. If I go, I'm so doing it. You'll see then.

Won't have either car there. Atlanta to LA is long drive and not cheap freight... both ways.
