you need to check your suspension buddy it could be anything !

have an x5 with similar problems. car starts to shake when i go over 40, and theres a burning smell on the left front tire. Did the wheel balance thing, no good! changed my broken axel boot to stop the burning....no good. have to go back to my mechanic tomorrow for round 3, if i figure something out will keep ya posted.

Just wanted to let you knwo your not the only one. These bmw's have a mind of there own, and they dont care to share their thoughts either ;)
