okay guys im going to register my car tmrow and i really need to get rid of this problem!!!
first of all my break light came on so i decided to change the rotors and the break pads for the back. but when i took it for a spin the light still remains on! is there a possibility i have to change the sensor or no? i only changed the rear not the front.

I know I'm not Chad but according to PelicanParts, "If your brake sensors activated the lamp on your dashboard, they should be replaced with new ones."

Check brake fluid level maybe? Mine was low and I refilled it, that's what got rid of the light in my Camry but idk.

according to my calculations, its um........ (add three, devide by 26.649, and multiply by pi) its about 13.72 minutes :D. Sorry, im really bored if no one can tell.
I would assume the *brake* fluid as well, if not maybe the sensor
basically when the sensor hits the rotor the wire inside gets cut and you open the circuit you have to change it you have to know which one is it by looking at each sensor you changed the rear brakes check the front !!!! make sure the fluid level is good ...
if you have a bad sensor sometimes when you change it as soon as you drive alittle light goes away without reset

You guys are too much. Yeah, there are little loop sensors. When the pads wear down, they break the loop. Open circuit, BRAKE light comes on. I'm assuming you're referring to the one that's the circle with the 3 vertical dashes on either end. The car has no idea about the pad wear. All it knows is if the little sensor is open or closed. So you can replace them all day long but if you don't change the sensor, you'll have the light. Also, I think low fluid can trigger it, but I'm not sure on that - would be a good thing to check against your manual.
