Saw the new 7 at the dealer today and I really like the interior but the exterior styling is too conservative. The m-sport package is just the ticket. The dealer told me it will be an option in about a month (april 2009). Is this true?

When you say M-Sport, do you mean with some sort of body kit? I agree about the car being too conservative as is.

Yes the m-sport kit which is available for example on the 3 and 5 series now has the wheels, mirrors and bodywork of the m series. Seems to me this would be just what the F01 needs to give it a sporty look.

The 7 series has never had any appearance packages... it's had a normal sport package but the only visual thing that does is lower the car's suspension and use shadowline for trim instead of chrome.
I believe this normal sport package is what they are talking about...

Ok that's interesting because although it is true that the m-sport package has not previously been offered for the 7, I had heard that the F01 was going to have this option and my dealer agreed. Maybe we are both wrong.

Alpina is a bit too euro-weird/over-the-top for me.
