YEap!, Its amazing! I havent said that for a long time for any of the BMW shapes, but yes, this one is amazing.

Excellent combination of flame surfacing with round edges, a beautiful, arrogant look, just how BMW's are supposed to look like.

A real BMW roadster.
Cant wait to test drive it.

Well, now that the OP managed to edit the post, while arrogant got removed, but assertive didn't get substituted, it would seem that Assertive is not what the OP was meaning.

I personally like the new lines of the Z4. They smoothed out what was really harsh/garish about the Z4 and updated it at the same time. I would have preferred the tighter turning circle of the Z4, however. The one downside with the new Z4 is a nice blindspot when the top is up. That is one thing that the E93 doesn't have.... Maybe BMW could put the improved top weather sealing of the Z4 on the E93 as a LCI thing?

After seeing one in person I will be keeping my '03...now it looks like every other BMW..it has no unique look. The pervious Z4 still turns heads--the new Z4 is just a 2 seat 1 series.
and whats with the price--

Interesting comment. My perspective after driving it is that the new Z4 is a softer riding, less nimble two seat 3 series.

Sounds kinda like an 80s Mustang or Camaro - ouch!

My impression is that the new Z4 is a more nimble, sportier feeling and looking 3 series. ....and yes exactly like an 80s Camaro in a sense that it too has 4 tires and a steering wheel :-)

at this moment i dont care how it drives. the new Z4 looks blindingly good. what a shape, looks more like the european AC Cobra without the big engine ..

I didn't feel like starting a whole thread so I'll piggy back on here.

I was in the shop waiting on service and since it was quiet, a salesman took me for a test drive of the i35 with the DSG. It was a blast to drive; nowhere to play on twisty roads (Arizona is a giant grid) but it's quick and fun. I love the style too (first Z car I like the look of, personally). I have the 335xi so I'm familiar with the engine. The DSG is definitely quicker than my 6MT to shift, and I like the way it blips the throttle, but if I were buying one I still think I'd get the clutch, because I like the interaction of it. The exhaust sounds nice too, a little more 'oomph' than the sedan exhaust. Of course, having the top down plays into the sound too, I think.

Anyway, those who own one, you have awesome cars! Maybe I'll get one on CPO in a few years if I decide to get a roadster :) :)

I have it - a Z-4 Manual Turbo - its quick - comfortable - quiet - and just enough exhaust noice - a real head turner -It is a keeper car - only one small comment - the Nav. voice guidance, has a very so slight German accent - " You Vill turn aright NOW - still fun to drive !

Haha about the nav voice. I have the old generation in my 3 series, and I have to keep it in metric because she says "In one coo-wahter of a mile, turn right". I hate how she says "quarter" so I'd rather here "in 500 meters."
