Ok here are the details

06 Z4 3.0si Roadster, Red, Steptronic, black leather, premium, sport, xenons, 12K miles, CPO
this car just came off lease this week from a local
according to the CA, they changed the oil & that's about it, and based on the mileage I guess that's OK. My point is they put little $ in the CPO.
based on the research I've done on this & other forums, I determined that the market is about $27K. They started at $30K & stopped at $28.2K, citing that the Mannheim numbers were up this week. They have sat on an 07 si coupe with 10K miles for MONTHS, now down to $30K, and an 07 si rdstr for at least 2 months with 18K at $31.5K.
I think my number is right.
Let's have your 2 Pfennig.

Unfortunately this is a bad time of the year to buy a convertible in the colder climates. Dealers know that they are coming into the season when these cars start selling. I know that I have left it to late in my area as these cars are being sold quickly and fetching good prices for the sellers. Figure I will have to wait for the fall to get better prices.

If it is the car for you why not split the difference, see if they will deal for another $600.

I can guarantee you they would rather sell it on the lot than let it go to auction. Don't let them push you around too much with the Manheim numbers. Also, I agree with the above poster that convertible season is right around the corner--though maybe less than other years due to the economy.

Bought our 07 3.0si roadster 4 weeks ago today. 26k miles, (Sport, Premium, heated seats, Manual) CPO, for $25k. The 06 with fewer miles should go that low as well. This is also the last weekend of not only a month but of a quarter. Give them a number that you will buy NOW and see what they do.

Let's have your 2 Pfennig. It's awfully hard to find Z's as you want them configured. Even though spring hopes might have the dealer holding off for a better deal, you do have month and quarter end pressure. I liked the idea of saying the you have $27K to spend and it's a deal right now.

It all depends on how much you want the car. If they don't budge you have to be able to walk away. 28.2K seems like a pretty good deal for an 06 configured as such with only 12K miles. I would probably continue to try an negotiate, but at the end of the day, would do the deal.

I bought my 06 si with all options including Nav for 22,600 about 2 months ago. It had 15k miles. It wasn't a CPO but i got the 100k maint. plan for 1300 from a dealership.

I bought mine 3 weeks ago, also red 3.0si with SP, PP, Xenon, Sirius, heated seats for $23.5k. It did not have CPO but still had 17 months left on the factory warranty which was fine with me. I don't think you should go more than the $27k. Edmunds showed the private party sale price to be about $25.5k on mine and the dealer retail to be a little over $27k.
