Nav screen always reverts to settings screen

Hi, I just purchased a 2007 X3 si. My question has to do with the nav display. Whenever I am on Sirius or radio or any other screen, after a few seconds, the screen reverts back to the settings screen. If I am on Sirius for example, I want it to stay there so I can see what songs are on etc. I have successfully got the Sirius screen to "stick" a few times but I am not sure what combination of buttons caused it to stay. Also, I am not sure what combination of buttons caused it to revert back to timing out to the settings screen. Does anyone know a simple way to prevent the screens from timing out to the setting screens? I hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help.

Push the button in the center of the dash that looks like two over-lapping screens. This will switch the screen between functions. When you turn the radio or whatever on or switch stations, it will temporaily activate the appropriate screen, but shorthly switch back. The button is for longer-term switching.

From your questions it sounds as though you need a dealer or friendly X3 owner to walk you through all these functions. The automatic headlights (if you have the Xenons) and the sometimes-dipping right outside mirror will really confound you if the Nav and BT have you stumped. :angel:
