does anyone know of any nice looking gear knobs for a 325i 93 model auto shift? do they even make a differant style then the gay bar that is on the standard ones?
something like this >>>>>> http://cgi.ebay.com.au/E39-BMW-5-SERIES-AND-E38-7-SERIES-AUTOMATIC-M-GEAR-KNOB_W0QQitemZ270366171184QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Ca rsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item270366171184&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177
but it doesnt fit my model.

Yeah, they've got the stupid T handle but they also have a nice normal knob. Check the sponsors to see if they'd carry one. I don't know where to get one in Oz though.

97 onwards had a modern BMW shaped Auto shifter.... So they *are* out there, Im just not sure if they're compatable with the t-bar shape. I read one story where the guy had to change the shifter "bar" type thing that connects to the mechanics below it aswell, just to get one that fitted the head. Good luck and post how it goes, Im curious as to how you go about it, Ill want to change mine too if I end up buying a pre '97.

I think it would be appropriate to call you a knob.

Maybe you could just call a BMW service center and ask if '97 E36 auto knobs are compatible with earlier models? They might even have some instock, I couldnt imagine they would be -too- expensive.
