I just got done talking to the parts department for BMW and I tried to describe to them the part I needed. I wanted to get the window moulding for the coupe that usually rusts. I was planning on taking them off and repainting them myself, but I was afraid of damaging them.
I tried my best to explain what I wanted and she was confused as hell. So near the end she said "I think the part you are looking for is the door seal" WTF!!!!. She qouted me at $73x.xx dollars!!!!!!!!! I was about to scream until my veins exploded but I just said "thx, bye".
So if I were to call back and ask for the part, what would I tell them?
Unless you guys know what im talking about, ill post pics of it later.
TIA

I don't know if these are the parts but this site should show you what you need. It has almost every part on the car with part numbers and suggested prices.

First, RealOEM.com is a GREAT site to use. If they don't have the name of the part just google the part number. It's an easy way to get a part name and look up some prices.

You don't need a name, just go on RealOEM and get the part # and give it to the parts guy.

Yes cheaper on line but shipping brings total much higher. Bought pax side drip rail from dealer and it was only $66.00 all in. They had it available for pick-up in two days. It looks like it was shipped direct from Munich to the dealer because the DHL tag said it was shipped out two days prior. It also came in a very very very large flat box, had to fold both back seat and move pax seat forward to fit into the car

Oh ok, so it was $66 for both of them? On Pelican, they were running for 16.50 each making it $33. I doubt shipping would cost much on these, so ill give it a try...
EDIT: Welcome to the Fest

Um..... Isnt that that seal on the inside of the car? Sorry, its the trim that goes from the front window (by the mirrors) to the rear window. Is that what # 7 is?
