I was going to do the silver/black on my new 750, but I got to thinking that my last six cars have been silver. I currently drive the LS460L, an incredible car, but just not me:dunno:. My LS is silver and black, and buying a new car I want it to feel new, if you know what I mean.

So here's where I am; I ran several colors by the wife and she's not real hip to the midnight blue (Azurite Black), or the Cashmere Silver for that matter. I'm down to the Citrin Black or Black Saphire with Saddle interior.

I think the black would be a nice change for me, but I have to say, I've had a lot of friends who have had black that swear they'd never buy it again. This is because it was too hot, or showed dirt to easily or showed scrathes. Now I'm not here to stir an argument, I just want some honest opinions from those of you that have black if it is a really big deal.

Also, I know nothing of the saddle interior, but think it would be a nice contast, and something new to me since all I've had is black interior for almost a decade now. And please, if you've seen this Citrin Black, I'd love to hear from you, or see pictures.

Your opinions and thoughts are very appreciated. :)

Cheers~

Black looks best and most classy IF you keep your car clean most of the time. I have a black one, what a mistake! My next one will likely be silver , again. Now I will put my flame suit on...

I've had nothing but Black or Dark Blue. I am actually warming up to Cashmere Silver. Elegant and low maintenance. I think I must be getting old now.

X2 about black looking the best and most classy especially on the car you're thinking of.

Black exterior + Black interior = :bigpimp:

However, for my M3 (someday), I'm going RED on black!

As i suspected. I'm beginning to teeter once again. :jack:

I do keep my cars very clean, but have noticed those that have black, want to avoid it on their next car. Whereas, those with lighter colors, generally stay with the lighter colors.

I have time, and time to be pushed to the "dark side".

I have black and I keep it clean, yet I drive it no where and it manages to get dirty only hours after cleaning it.

Every little imperfection is shown in the paint too.

I love Black/Black but it would be nice not to be OCD about it all the time.

My next car I get will have a Champagne exterior color and interior will be two tone Cream or Brown seats with Black carpets, dash, and headliner.

Whatever you do, make sure you get the box check that says "Leather Instrument Panel", otherwise you get some crappy vinyl stuff. It's only $1200 and makes a world of difference.

I agree, I'm OCD too. And I am going for the leather dash, which I believe should be included any way.

I just can't get my arms around any one color. I've seen the champaign color and would agree that it will not show dirt, and will remain classy looking for some time.

The first sales guy I spoke with, that had just returned from training on the 750 stated there were several color combinations around when he was getting his training. The one that stood out the most was the launch color with the combo interior (black carpets and tan interior). He said it was stunning.

I have owned one black car in Texas. NEVER again!

What about white with the saddle interior? I think the saddle interior is a great choice. Of course, I could be a little biased.

Where are you planning to buy?

You're right down the street from me. Yeah, in Texas black is a difficult color with the heat, that's for sure. I really like the saddle interior, but it does limit your exterior color. I'm not a white car guy, but agree it would look good.

I am off the cusp and into another color scheme. Dang! Back to the drawing board.

I know it isn't on your list of options, but I'm in love with alpine white! I've owned two black cars, and two silver, and most recently an e30 in white. I've been seeing more 3 and 5 series in white and it looks absolutely beautiful. I would not own another black car, for the same reasons you listed originally.

I need to see it. I know I don't want the plain white. My wife has a Lexus and it's Pearlescent White, and it is really sharp looking. I am really interested in seeing the Milano Beige as I've never seen it before. I hear it's a little over the top, though.

I origionally wanted a Black/Black 335i' ended up with the Silver on Black and am quite happy with it as you seem to be with your previous cars. My car before was a 3000GT vr-4 and was Red on Black interrior looked very good also, but coudlnt see it on a 7 series .

It seems Silver / Black hasnt failed you yet... stick with it it say

Im new to the BMW colors but possibly this Space gray color(Dont know the real name) on black interrior would look good. not sure how it would look on a 7 series though... Here it is on a 3 series if you didnt know what color im talking about :).

There is a new Diamond White. White is really classy, too. It really grows on you. And it looks clean almost all the time.

The lighter colors also show the car's lines better tha dark colors.

I am in this same boat too...
I currently have a black 06 750 - and ordering a 09 750.
My problem is that since I am ordering the Individual package - I have a choice of Citrin Black or Moonstone - But I CANT find a SWATCH or the car in this color anywhere!!!!
I cant special order a color without seeing it. Not even found in the new books from BMW.
I do clean my current car often, and when all cars are clean - nothing looks better than black. Problem is you need to work harder on the black than other colors.
I did decide so far on the Amaro interior with Piano black wood trim.
The comment on the lighter colors showing the lines - I completely agree!!!
Also - Keep an eye on the floor colors, some interior choices still come with lack floors which is great in keeping the car looking good as opposed to a light floor which will dirty quickly.

That does look nice. You can't hardly go wrong with that color. You put saddle interior, or even the creme, and it would look really nice.

I must say, the wheels suck. Unless you're willing to pony-up some $6.5k for the upgraded 21's, you're stuck with these. Who is the buyer for BMW wheels? He should be canned. They really should offer more choices (IMO).

I like the combo; white with black/saddle interior. Having black carpeting is real important as far as I'm concerned.
