At past Bimmerfests at the Earl Warren Showgrounds, show organizers had a special parking area set aside for 76 and earlier BMW's. We were just wondering if the new event location will have an old school parking area for the 2002, E3/E9 & NK crowd? We hate to be stuck in the middle of the E46, E90 crowd whose tires and rims cost almost as much as our cars.

Hey G-Man 02,

In Steve's absence, I am sure Pierre will step up to the plate and have a spot reserved for all of us classics.

I'm hoping to caravan all the Vintage BMWs in as early as possible to minimize the hassle. We have some really great guys/cars coming up from OC, so I don't want them to have to leave at 4:30 to make it....I'm planning on rolling from Sherman Oaks no later than 6:15...we'll see. Gordo, if you're up there next weekend.....get out there with flare guns....!

I'm bummed Steve won't be joining us this year...

Maybe somene from your group can help me judge the Classic division for the Battle of the Bimmers?

Me too! Steve took us on a nice (civilized) drive last year after the event and then to his favorite Pizza place afterward. We had so much fun with him-I have never laughed so hard. Who knew he had such a great sense of humor? I was gasping for air, he had us laughing so hard. Too bad he can't make it.

Can I ask?

1. Do you want your pizza cut in 6 pieces or 8?
2. Do you have a coupon?:roundel:

Cut it 6, I could never eat 8 slices!:p

Guys,

Cross your fingers. After painting my car, it doesn't want to start. I've already replaced the plugs, points, condenser, rotor and cap. I'm charging the battery. If it doesn't start tonight, I'll tow it to my mechanic tomorrow.

You would think that after getting a fresh paint job, it would behave!

Wish me luck.

Any South OC wrenches willing to come over and take a look?

Jim
