Hi,
I have an 09 528i. What is used in the Sports Package to make the backend sit lower? Is it really just the back or does the whole car sit lower with the sports pgk? What is the part number if I just wanted to order that? Any help would be great!
Thanks
SBJ

The sport package suspension includes front and rear spring and damper set that lowers the car more than non-sports package, and thicker anti-sway bars. You could look up the OEM parts #'s on www.realoem.com and pick them up from a dealer, or you could search any number of online vendors for aftermarket parts including a number of b-fest sponsors.

Hi...Thanks for the info..I've been looking in the threads...Would I need something like the Koni FSD + Eibach pro kit? I just want the level and/or even look; not looking for a low rider. I went to the dealership and they said they would have to look up all the parts that make it a sport and it would be a few thousand...not looking to spend that much ...any sugguestions? I've looked on realoem but not sure exactly what im looking for...Please be detailed as I am not too smart on BMW parts yet....I'm a newbie!

Maybe an easy way to get started is to look at sites like Tirerack, Bavauto, and Turnermotorsport. You can look for your specific year and model and they'll tell you what individual springs, dampers, sway bars, and even entire kits are appropriate for your car. Then you have to figure out how aggressive you want them vs comfort, which it seems you want more of a sport package look (slight lowering) w/out sacrificing too much comfort. You can order online, and find a good independent BMW or suspension shop near you to do the install or DIY.
Koni FSD & Eibach pro kit + Eibach sway bars seems like it would meet your objectives. You might want to replace some other suspension components at the same time, like the sway bar links, upper and lower spring pads since you're in there. 5er suspension is probably a little diff than 3er suspension, so just study realoem carefully and/or get a Bentley and/or call some of the vendors or a local shop. The folks at Bavauto and Turner in particular will be very knowledgeable about your suspension.
