I had a horrible first service experience with my local dealer, up to this point my BMW exp. was going well and I was a very happy customer. I wont get into the details but during the telephone survey I could tell the operator was a little shocked and I don't mean yea we feel your pain fake shock either.. I don't have a service advisor so this is adding to the frustration, in fact this is part of the problem from the beginning.
I have been very busy at work and unable to just march in and make a scene. While that's not something I want to do, I am getting a lot closer than I have ever been.
I think my request would be something that a simple phone call could resolve and spare a lot of aggravation if the issue is allowed to go any further, so I figured this would be the place to ask.
If someone has a contact email for someone who might be able to help me resolve this I would appreciate it. Im traveling and cant really get a phone call in during "normal" hours, If im correct BMW is on Eastern time???
Thanks in advance
PS, since this is my first experience with BMW service.. has anyone else waited 20 days+ for a copy of the work order???

Have you tried going down to the dealer and requesting a copy of the work order? :dunno:
The only time that I never received a work order was when my car was in for the seeming incurable E46 idling and stalling problem, and received the "we can not duplicate the problem" response. And the dealer unfortunately lost my keys. After an hour and half of looking for the keys they finally figured out that the tech had them in his coat pocket and took them home with him, I had to come back the next day to retrieve my car, needless to say I was not happy about this. They did not give me a work order printout and this was the only time I have not received the service survey phone call from BMWNA. I think the dealer was keeping my visit out of the computer system to hide the fact from BMWNA that I was ever at the dealer. :tsk:
You can contact BMWNA and file a compliant, but if the problem is about poor service there is not a lot they will do. If there is a problem with your car that was never resolved they may be of some help getting work done properly.
Good luck.

What service department (dealer) are you having problems with???
myself, and others in this area might be able to help steer you to another dealer.
Don't be worried about using their name, others should be warned too.
FWIW, phone surveys are conducted by an outside company, you weren't talking to BMW on that phone call
Thanks for the reply Doug, my problem is with Park Ave BMW, I know many here have had great experiences with them. I too was hoping for that but instead I got an incredibly rude and very poorly organized service dept on the day I visited. To this day I still dont have a service advisor nor a copy of what was done to my car on its first service. Being kind of a car nut (arent we all here) I keep my records and wanted to know beisides the oil change, were any fluid levels low? etc. Besides the obvious needs listed above its just common sense to keep the customer informed. When I returned to pick up my car I found it unlocked with the windows open in an area where people are parking next to it for a few minutes and then leaving ( drop off area), do I have a freakin bullseye on my head or something?
I dont think its too much to ask for? maybe im crazy but and invoice should have been ready when I picked up my car, I was too tired and to be honest too pissed to argue. My oil change had taken at that point 5.5 hours with me waiting the first 3 before demanding a loaner.
I will be back in town shortly and I plan on going and raising hell
God I miss my Nissan/Infinity dealer right now.....

I went to BMWusa.com
Then clicked on contact us in the bottom right.
Then clicked on products and services link and filled in my question.
I had a response in 3 hours (posted below this...the Bluetooth question)
Although their reply didn't answer my question. :dunno:
