Every so often, without any consistency, I hear three BEEPS while driving - why? No Lights are indicating an issue.

You're a newbie, so we'll cut you some slack about not searching the forum for this subject. It's been covered dozens of times, and just about every new E36 owner asks this question shortly after getting their car.

Next time it happens, look at your clock. It's announcing the top of the hour. You can turn it off if it bothers you. Read your owner's manual.

D'oh!

Thanks. And really not a newbie - owned an E34 a few years back, just haven't gotten to the E36's manual yet.

No offense bud (please dont take any), just getting a good laugh...Many members here are smart/wise asses...which is never a bad thing and they dont mean anything by it. **** when I first got my car my buddy was messing around with the OBC and set the "Speed Limiter" and it beeped everytime I went over 67mph and I couldnt figure out how to turn it off.
