I am trying to figure out a problem on my cousin's 325.

When i start the car at complete cold, it runs great at idle for about 10 seconds. then right after that, the engine starts to "putt" at about 500 rpm for about 10 seconds then returns to a normal idle. It does this once when its cold and doesnt do it anymore as the car warms up.

The car has 187000 miles on it and pretty much everything has been replaced on the car.
the water pump, plugs, radiator, thermostat, fuel lines, air filter, pretty much everything else except for the rest of the fuel system(fuel pump, filter, ect...)

any solutions?:dunno:

You could try checking the ICV.....but to me it sounds almost like the car is still injecting too much fuel into it after cold start.

Is there any way of controlling how much fuel goes in at all?

I'm going to try a clean out the icv tommorrow if its not raining. Hopefully thatll fix it.

Thanks

Nope, there's not. I could be way off base, but that's just what struck me as possible when I read it.

Oh ok. I didnt think it was.

I'll definently give the icv a try though.
