I'm going to CSU Sacramento State next year!
Just spent all day there, took a tour, talked to the Track Coach, went to their practice. Loved every bit of it. So for next year the plan is, walk-on spot on the CSU Sac State Track & Field team, start my GE and my admitted major is Entreprenuership.
I'm beyond ecsatic right now! The school is amazing, the people are amazing, the stadium is amazing.
I know this has nothing to do with e36's, but like the title says, a lot of you guys/gal have a special spot in my heart, and I thought I would share this with ya'll!
Go Hornets!

CSU Sacramento?
I'm sorry.
:p
Congrats Brad! That's pretty awesome that you've got a spot on the track team and everything. What do you plan to do with your Entrepreneurship major?
Seriously though. Sacramento? Sactown sucks man. Sorry.

Thanks!!!
Chad, sac is amazing, I loved it, felt like home. The school has just about everything I need on campus or just outside of it. I can't wait.
And as for my studies, I plan on opening my own sports bar, or club. Most likely sports bar. Already got my notebook of ideas cooking.

WTF! Why Sac State? I applied there and my dad wants me to go, but I decided to take the CC route then go to UC Davis. Plus Fairfield has hella BF.c members located there, so I can go to a ton more meets. Dude, now you'll be like an hour away from our meets, thats sick.
I hate Sacramento, its..... dead. Its NOTHING like the bay, and the people out there make me sick. We have totally diferent views on it :dunno:.
Well congratz, and I guess ill see ya more often

My best friend is going to UC Davis to play foobtall, so me and him are gonna be chillin' a bunch.
And I got a few other friends there, and they all love it. I think I'm gonna have fun there for sure. But I'm not gonna bring my car the first year, maybe when I live off campus I will.

Your amount of fun will be inversely proportional to the awareness of your RAs/Campus PoPo. ;) (unless you have a cool RA)
Bring your car. Why the hell wouldn't you? Will make life a lot more fun there.

hello amber have u ever heard of Public transportation,
no really man no car+lame life=+less females+ less fun = no speeding tickets= no worries for repairs+ no need to pay gas+ more time for books+more time for track+more time for workin out not on your car but on youurself.
so in the long run i'd say no need for a stinkin car you will thank yourself when u don't have to worry about a car. Don't do wat i did in the midst of final exams my car was actin up so i tried to fix it waisted an entire weekend that i coulda used to study so i had to settle for a B u see thats wrong my friend

Ew. Public transportation. Gross. Are you insane? Or do you snow hippies have a better transport system?
And screw that. Your bad you didn't study, not the car's fault. Its called having your priorities straight.
Yeah, like everyone knows, chicks absolutely ADORE guys that show up to take them out.... on the bus. Super sexy.

hey i took public transport once it was amazing, and in the valley of snow hippies we use giant heated snowmobiles that fly as our transport

Well basically, you pay 300 bucks for a parking permit, which doesn't guarentee you a spot, it guarentee's you won't get a ticket for parking the right spot. Also, students ride the bus for free, and I used to ride bikes, like race road bikes and dual slalom, downhill, freeride, all that stuff, so I can haul ass on a bike and I'm not too worried about getting from A to B.
But 2nd year, if I live off campus, I will have my car.

I wish our parking permits were $300. :(
Get a cheap motorcycle. Put your car on non-op status and take it off insurance. Hell, buy my old Kawasaki from me in the summer. Great learner bike!
I hate buses and public transportation in general. I honestly think I've taken public trans. about 4 or 5 times in my entire life, and hated it. Except Bart, just cuz Bart is Bart and it's cool like that.
the_brouhaha
04-23-2009, 07:13 AM
Well, I'm thinking of getting a crotch rocket, I have been for a while. So it might be time.
But public transportation doesn't worry me too much, I grew up taking the bus alot, and that was my main transportation in middle school to get back into Santa Cruz. So seems kinda normal for me. But I wish the Bart was in Sac, that'd be coool.

Hate buses. I've used them maybe all of two times, and it was awful.

04-23-2009, 10:48 AM
Ehh it might depend on where you live. They are fine here in santa cruz, but who knows, they might be ass in sacramento.

Hey good choice for a Major, Its what Im majoring in also. What you minoring in? I am minoring in the obvious Marketing because you cant sell you service or prodct without a good background in Marketing. I sound just like you, but I focus more on niche markets instead of generics. Remember, 70% of millionaires are Entrepreneurs. Congrats and Good Luck!!!

No minor, just entrepreneurship, but I'm sure I will go back and learn more shtuff. We will see, I think I might go to Wyotech, or DeAnza college after and become a mechanic too!

04-23-2009, 10:35 PM
Oh yea, I had to go to school at 12 as well.
If you go to any auto school, go to UTI. I heard that Wyotech sucks :dunno:.

My stepdad is going to wyotech, and he loves it.
UTI, may be cheaper, but I hear the opposite about which is better.

Im going to Solano and gunna be there for who knows how long. I know a bunch of BF.c members in Fairfield/Vacaville area and my bro-in-law lives in Davis, so its not too far from there. It'll be sick.
the_brouhaha
04-23-2009, 10:41 PM
Yeah thank you!
Davis is real close, my best friend is gonna go there and play football (I tihnk I already said that) so it'll be nice being away from home but still having friends close.

04-23-2009, 10:47 PM
Yup yup. Im actually excited to go to Fairfield. Then I can go to meets towards Davis and some of the ones that go down in Sac. Its sorta in the middle do its cool, plus I have family there so I can chill there during break or something.

Sacramento? Congrats! There's a real nice track not too far away, but of course you'll need that car.........
http://www.thunderhill.com/
On Sept 18, 19, Hooked on Driving will hold track sessions/lessons there (Thunderhill), but again, you'll need that car. Wheeeee!

However, this could distract you from your studies. ;-)

Haha I might have to bring my car up for a weekend and drop it at my friends house so I can do that.
But it might be during track practice, but if not. I'm there, with or without my car. I would still want to watch!

OlCarLuvr, don't forget, where he's at now he's closer to the most kickass track around. I guess being in ballSac doesn't really change the distance to Sears Point, but damn you're so far away from Laguna Seca there. Thunderhill is good though and should be easier to get trackdays on.
You should start up a chapter of Imports, the club I'm in, there.
Oh wait.
You won't have a car.
Nevermind.
Lame.
