Hey guys i haave a wierd problem with my 93 318i. When i turn the car is off the fuel pump is still staying on, when i pull the fuse it turns off but when i pull the relay absolutely nothing happens even when the car is on. If anyone has ever had this problem please let me know, i am starting to think that i may have a constant ground keeping the fuel pump on i just dont wanna pull the tank to find out theres nothing wrong under there.

You do know you don't have to pull the tank to get to the fuel pump, right?
Just making sure ... trying to help out with my limited knowledge of these cars.

If it needs replacing or you want to check it, it's directly under the rear seat. Lookey. (http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/E36-Fuel-Pump/E36-Fuel-Pump.htm)

I know i dont have to pull the tank to get the fuel pump out, i just have to make sure there is no bad connections for any other wiring that is over the tank that may cause a constat ground for the pump to stay on.

I have a similar problem with my '93 320i. When the car is off, something is running under in the engine. I think that it is a fuel pump.

you shouldnt have to pull the tank for that either just use a multimeter and test the prongs for proper voltage/grounds then test at the relay side
