Hey all, I bought a 2001 325Ci last week and negotiated a set of M3 wheels and tires into the deal after the dealer told me they'd "fit, no problem."

It didn't take me long to realize that they don't and after reading some threads on BimmerFest and here, now I'm scared that I may have made a colossal mistake.

They rub mercilessly on the rear fenders, over even the smallest bump.

Here is the setup: OEM M3 wheels, fronts and rears, with Sumitomo 255/40 ZR18s on the back rims.

What can I do? I've read E46 Coupe rear fenders cant be rolled. True?

I'd really appreciate any advice as I'm afraid I've just set myself up for a huge money pit of work to make these not rub.

Thanks, Rob

PS- on the upside, they look incredible on there!!

Even with the correct tire size, these wheels will rub. The offset is just too low.

A lot people just run four front M3 wheels on non-M E46. M rear wheel offset is way too low for a non-M. Fender rolling might help, but may not solve the problem. You might have to get fenders pulled. Some body shops can do rolling and pulling for you.

Thanks all, it wasn't easy finding another set of fronts, but I did it and now I'm running 4 fronts and it looks fab.

I think you were supposed to get 4 front wheels when you did this. Time to roll the fenders?
