Nav POI

First off I did look throigh the manual and no info on this.

All OEM Nav units I have had (Escalade, Jeep, etc) have POI's on screan at all times. I have a copy of the 2009.1 disc and it works great. I can search all poi's and everything but in regular mode just driving around there are no POI's that pop up on the screen as I pass by them. Not sure if you guys get what I am saying.
Do I always have to search for POI's or is there a trick to have them displayed on screen all the time. All my other Nav units I was able to select what POI's to always display (eg. Gas stations).

The last POI category you've completed(!) a search on will usually stay displayed as icons afterwards on the map screens.
Check it out with restaurants or gas stations, maybe your last search was for a "rare" POI category with no occurences where you're usually driving around...?

There is a function to turn the icons off or on....when looking at the map, look on the left and you'll see a i with or wothout a line through it. If the line is present the icons are turned Off....Phil
