I'm curious about the differences between the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT and the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP which are being equipped on E92 sports now (or so I heard).

Anyway - my biggest questions relate to:

1. road noise.
2. ride quality
3. performance in the wet

long before my BMW days, I was a huge fan of Michelins - they're relatively pricey - but I have never had one let me down. I know that with my driving style, I am going to need new tires this summer - so I although not pressing, I am wanting less noise and slightly less bumpy ride when I make the purchase.

My other tire of choice might be the Nitto Invos - as a final question - how would these stack up against the winner of the two OE RFTs?

thx

Most have been happier with the PS2 runflat compared to the OE Bridgestones in regards to ride and noise levels as well as wet and dry grip. Since I dont' carry Nitto, I'm not sure how they woudl compare, sorry.

I recently took delivery of a 335i convertible with M Sport and a 335xi with M Sport, both with 18 inch whells. The convertible was delivered in New York City with PS2's . the 335xi in Montana with Potenzas. Have driven both now 500 miles on varying road surfaces. PS2's are significantly quieter with much less tramlining. In fact I am calling BMW customer service to see if they will switch out Potenzas to the Michelins. Michelin seems a little less tight handling with a little squealing when pushed hard relative to potenzas, but this is more than made up for witht the reduced noise.
