Anyone know what the left hand side of the trim that holds the glove box connects to. The screw that is supposed to go in there has no place to connect. I can get all new trim pieces but I need to know the part that goes behind it. Realoem does not shoe a good picture and I have had the glove box apart and see nothing that is broken. Very puzzled.

The console? Most likely you just have a broken tab.

The tabs on the left side have a "body nut" that slides over the tab. It is "U" shaped. Once on, the screw goes through the hole on the upper side of the center console and connects to the body nut. The body nut has a wide hole and a threaded hole to catch the screw.

If your tab is broken or missing, one can be made of light sheet metal, then pop rivited or glued to the glovebox. Put the glove box in place, line it up then drill a hole for the screw. Take it out and then put the body nut on and it should be as good as new.

I think the body nut is #3
