Help me find this m3!!!

Was at Starbucks coffee in Scotts Valley, CA (the starbucks off of Mt.Hermon, there are 3 in sv) on Sunday around 11 AM. I pulled in with my girlfriend, only to see one of the most amazing e46 m3's ever.

Convertable, black, DINAN badge on the rear, carbon fiber csl trunk, black rims w/ red lip. License plate read "I FLY 17"

Yeah, usually I don't go to bucks. I like coffee cat the best. But my girlfriend wanted to, and you know how that goes, they always get the final word. :( And it was closest to the gym.

and im not comparing this car to my car... im comparing it to many e46's. i work with plenty of european cars, or better yet cars in general. I've seen all the designs and styles ever put on a car and this is just hideous.... not cuz i have an M3....

Honestly! That M3 doesn't look good at all! The M6 replicas with random red time attack strip looks hideous! Not to mention its still on stock suspension with 19s with make it look like its sitting on a jack. Taillights look bad, same with the black dinan badge. I am sure the rest of the car is just as bad, should have left it stock! Also, the V-CSL Vert is not rare, it was mass produced just like all Vorsteiner products. It is discontinued, but still out there! I usually dont bash other peoples cars, but since you wasted everyones time posting this car, i just had too!

The cell phone pic does make my car look pretty horrible, so I don't blame the flamers... it does look better in person, and that was the morning after a very long Saturday night of installing the bootlid, and why I was at coffee. :confused:

Yes, they're Alt/Miro M6 Reps, black with the time attack ring, and I love them. Honestly one of the most complimented things on my car on a day-to-day basis. Vorsteiner CF V-CSL trunk, with fresh paint. Honestly I was going to paint over the CF, like I did on the diffuser that is also a V-CSL and full CF, but the painter talked me into leaving a small bit exposed on the lip, it's subtle and only in the right light does it even show up with the Jet Black paint. What's DINAN? Dinan 4.10 LSD, Dinan front strut bar, Dinan CAI, Dinan Hi-Flow Throttle Bodies, Dinan Software, Dinan/Brembo Front 380mm slotted brakes, Dinan/JRZ Stage 3 suspension, Dinan Free Flow Exhaust... I think that's about it, the Dinan floor mats don't really count for points anyway :tsk:

The taillights aren't sprayed, they had headlight armor tint, which is a removable vinyl, and I un-tinted them this week due to some *constructive* criticism from the nice crowd over at M3Forum.

I'm not too picky about my coffee... I like Peet's too, I like Coffee Cat, Surf City, Bux is the closest so I go there a more.

This was the morning after it was installed... honestly I still have another hour of tweaking to get it perfect, those scissor hinges are a PITA. Black Dinan badge was my own touch... it's an authentic badge, I sanded it down and sprayed it matte black, then matte clear. I didn't want a shiny chrome badge back there that would stick out, but at the same time I earned that damn thing and wanted it on there, lol.

Except it's not a stock suspension, it's a Dinan/JRZ Stage 3 Suspension, with Ground Control end-links, replaced the Dinan sway with a full front/rear Eibach set, Rogue RSMs, Powerflex RTAB/LCABS, Dinan fixed camber plates (which are part of the stage 3 suspension, but I feel I should mention them because they're fantastic). I did have the car on PSS9s, and liked the stance better, but Santa Cruz roads are pretty sh*tty so I opted for something more comfortable over the "slammed" look.

Anyway, fun read, thanks guys. I was a Bimmerfest last year in the building, by the front door in the Alt/Miro booth, so you may have seen my car before.

The red time-attack stripe is to contrast the black, and also to compliment the calipers:

Yeah the brakes are Dinan Brembos... just 4-pots but plenty for me since I don't get enough time to track.

I don't really have any more recent photos, but here's a couple when it was a bit lower with the Bilsteins... I liked the look a lot better, but the ride on the JRZs is un-beatable, and really worth a higher stance IMO.

I wanted it to be a detail, not a feature... there's nothing in shiny chrome on my car. It's still noticeable, it's just subtle :thumbup:
