Hello,

New member here and new owner of a 2003 745i. It was 15 grand with a 2 year warranty, can't beat that... 75k runs like a champ. I've tinted it (22% all the way around, except windshield) and now I want to do 22" wheels--thinking bout the 128's but...

I live in Oregon...No rim shops up here, but I want to make the car look nice.

I've been looking on SuperBuyTires.com for some Asantis or other rims, don't really care what kind/brand, something with 5 or more spokes though and staggered all they have are 22x11 setups in the rear. I ordered some wheels and tires off wheelsnext.com a few days ago, lets just say I yelled in the phone, and I never do--cancelled my order, so... Don't buy from them, should have read the reviews, my fault

So the question I have is that if my 745 is not lowered, can I fit some 22x11's on the rear with no more than a 5" lip? I drive pretty careful on my tahoe (has 26's) not too many potholes round here, but I do have to go over train tracks everyday to go to work. I just don't want to have to shave fenders or cut out walls, I just want to balance-mount and go.

I would want a wheel that doesn't stretch over the tire to much or arch. I've looked at other posts too, if there is one that has this exact info, please direct me. And if anyone is running a setup like this, let me know...Pics, opinions, prefferred setup

Thanks,

The site looks great, with many good contributions.

My pics coming after wheels are on it

YEs you can fit a 22x11 the MRR comes with a 5 inch lip and looks great and is fairly cheap i believe. If you search you should find some pics of them on here a few guys bought them already and they look good.

Is that all it is called? MMR?

Anyone else running the 11" on the back? With no drop?

That's just one wheel that was nice looking and fairly cheap there are MANY to choose from. Allot of the guys runnign 22's also have H&R's but thats more for looks and handleing and if you lower with an 11 your goign to have to roll your quarters or they will rub for sure.

why would you get 22's without lowering it? do you plan on going 4x4 with the extra clearance:dunno:

Never thought about it...It would be the sunday driver, and really just come out in the summer, no rain and garaged...I must say the 745/750/760 looks very classy even at 6 years old.

If I lowered it, I would have to shave some stuff right? If I am rolling 11" on the rears, most of the other posts looked like there needed to be some work done with the wells and fenders.

So, if I went to Superbuytires.com, instead of oredering their suggested staggered fitments--I can just make my own setup. ie...order 2 9.5x22 wheels and tires and then order 10.5x22 wheels and tires as well.

...and if they are looking like a 5x120, I should be good to go. I realized that they sell for more when they sell the staggered package together. HAHA...Is their anywhere else I shoul;d be looking before that place (there are no "rim/wheels" shops where I am at)

Do they have good deals...?

Some of the wheels on there look a little sketchy--Especially SEVAS, I have heard nothing but negatives on those...

I agree and not to mention the overall better cushioning in such a heavy car. I think it looks fine either way.
