Is there an alert for the air filter? I have done cabin filters, oil service, brakes but never saw air filter or remember seeing that in the service menu.

Good question. My E90 has over 40K miles in over two years of operation; however, the dealer has not changed the air filter in any of my services so far - unless they did so and nothing was put on the invoice (I doubt that). Before my warranty is up, I plan to ask them to replace it. Seems that there is a little more to it than just unscrewing the lid on the filter housing and swapping in a new element like we did back in the days of yore.

I'm doing mine as well and using a high flow fram and see if that does anything.
I believe it is called "intake silencer" on the invoice. I guess it's one way to charge what they do for an airfilter... :)

Odd but there is no alert for this. I'm changing mine as well when I do the brake fluid exchange.
My SA changed them at 42K when it was in for an oilchange.

Correct guys there is no idicator on the i drive but when dealer scans your key it shows on there reader got mine done not long ago. That along with tranny oil is on there reader i believe both are calculated by time and mileage.
