Hi,
So I have been searching, looking around for an independent mechanic in Toronto area for my 2004 745LI. I found this actually two of them.
1) www.bimmex.ca
2) www.techmax.ca
Anyone takes there 7 series to anyone of these mechanic shops and/or anyone heard of them???? Any input? I live in downtown toronto area so www.bimmex.ca is kinda close to me but I don't mind driving a reasonable distance for a good mechanic....anyone knows about a good, reliable & honest independent shop? Any input..............
Thanks in advance.......

I had some body damage and I went to a body shop called uni-body collision - www.unibodycollision.ca (http://www.unibodycollision.ca). They specialize in BMW and they have a lifetime guarantee on their work.

after getting astounding body work done there (they do crazy amazing work and they seem to really care about what they do) I asked where to go for some mechanical work, and they told me to visit Techmax - I was NOT sorry these guys used to engineer for BMW in germany, they know BMW INSIDE AND OUT - if youre looking for a good bmw mechanic go to techmax.

p.s. techmax are a little on the expensive side but they will fix whatever's wrong and you won't have to go back twice for stupid things, they do it right the first time - and if you need a body shop go to uni-body collision, both shops are very, very good at what they do

Here's a couple I've been dealing with:

a. AutoTrend on Broadview: they are really good and specialise only in BMW. They are also very fairly priced: http://www.autotrend.net/
b. Bimmer Sport in Mississauga: http://www.bimmersport.ca/
c. Toronto Transmission: http://www.torontoautotrans.com/ . Just ask for Bobby, he's been working on bimmers for over 30 years and is very fairly priced.

Cheers/Nathan

I've been going to Engineered Automotive for all of my cars for the past 15 years. The guys there really know BMW. They were also Dinan's first authorized Canadian distributor/installer. Like has been previously said about good private shops, they're not the cheapest game in town, but you get what you pay for and I've never had any issues in the past 15 years.
