My 2003 ZHP optioned 330i is in need of new tires. I was going to replace them with OEM Poternza tires but I have been reading up on these tires and I mostly see negative responses for them. I got 34K miles from these tires and felt they were great tires. I do not track the car and most of the mileage is highway driving. I want an all season performance tire this time instead of a summer tire. Any suggestions would be appreciated and tire rack people feel free to chime in too, as I will be purchasing them from you.

I have seen fantastic reviews on the Potenza 960s. Tire Rack has a section where consumers rate 10 diff categories in a numerical fashion.

Agreed!

This would be an outstanding choice for a great UHP A/S tire.

I did not see 255/35ZR18. I saw 265. Do they come in 255?

These are not available in 255/35R18, sorry. A good alternate choice that comes in the original sizes for the ZHP would be the Yokohama Advan S4.

What about the Eagle F1 all season? I am considering these tires. Any opinions would be helpful.

I like the Yokohama S.4 better, a little nicer handling and quieter. Eagle F1 AS has good grip, but steering feel is not as good as with the S.4.

I wore the Goodyear Eagle All Season F1s out in 10,100 miles. Car was in perfect alignment, which was verified by a local tire/wheel shop.

One forum member indicated that he still had his Eagle All Season F1s at 17,000 miles with plenty of rubber left. Only thing I can think of is that I make the purchase just after these tires came on the market. Maybe I got a bad batch.

Good news is that Goodyear did a major adjustment on the tires for me.

BTW, I am an old fart and drive like one. No hot rodding on my part.

10K definitely shorter than normal. Nice to hear that Goodyear was able to take care of you. 25-30K would be more normal.

I too like Yokohama s.4. I am using it from last 2 yrs.

Initially they were very good, but over time we've had reports of high noise and rapid wear. I believe that Goodyear is in the process of 'modifying' the design, but that may not be done till late summer or early fall.
