Shudder or vibration under load 2nd gear

84 528e new clutch set up/new guibo (flex disc) center bearing was fine.

When the wife gets on it in 2nd gear you fell a shudder or vib if she stays on it hard but all is ok shifting normal? She likes the leave them behind of 2nd gear:rofl:

I put the car on my lift and all is tight and seems fine? It might would do it in 1st gear also but she does not really push hard in 1st just second and all the rest of the gears have no problem.

Any idea? Or just tell her to quite doing that maybe :tsk:

Was the center bearing pre-loaded per Bentley's? Also maybe you have a union on the driveshaft that is sticking. take a look at that also.

I did it right I guess a long while back but didn't even think about it this time? I just pulled the complete shaft out and checked the bearing real good and all was fine and then put it back in the same place it was. So I guess I will put the car back on the lift and remove the shield and do it right again this time? Maybe that will do it I hope.:thumbup:
