What is a good price for a new Z?

I've driven both the 3.0 & 3.5 and I'm ready to pull the trigger on the 3.0. with a 6 speed manual. As far a I know there is about a 4K markup from invoice to MSRP and there is no dealer money at this time. It's interesting that the three BMW dealers in my area all have an auto 3.5 & a manual 3.0, but nothing has sold yet. New 08 Z's are being discounted about 10K. Thoughts?

The new Z4's are launch cars and all the dealers have the same two. Most are not trying to sell them so customers like you can come in and drive the car before you make a purchase. I'm sure you don't want some one driving your car and putting a couple of hundred miles on it the hard way. So thats one reason they are still sitting. The left over 08's are a great buy for the money. The only thing is that most, if not all of them, the warranty clock has started.
