I have a '96 328i convertible with stock 16s. I've had a rough winter, and I'll be having all 4 rims straightened next week. So it's time to replace the cheapo BFGoodrich tires (225 50 zr 16) with something better. Can you make a recommendation?
I'm in Indiana, so we do generally get one or two 6-10" snows per year. I've had bad experiences in the 328 during the winter because I chose poorly before, so I'm not sure how much I can expect with better tires. I'm probably not going to want 2 sets of wheels/tires because of cost.
I'm definitely not a performance driver. Most of my driving is city; when I'm on the highway, I generally stay at ~ 80mph, rarely more than 90mph.
The folks straightening my rims recommended Michelin all-season, but I'm open to other mfrs.
Anything else I should add?
Thanks in advance!
