I am trying to wire my electrical fan and need a 12volt ignition source to draw power from, in the engine bay.
It needs to be an ignition source so that it doesn't draw on the battery with the car off.
(this is until I can find a fan relay, thermostat, and switch, to wire it properly)

I'm trying to wire this, flush and refill coolant system, in the next couple of hours, so speedy responses are appreciated

why dont you tap off of the wiring for the factory electric fan?

Then it would run off my thermo right? This is one step closer to what I want - but on the condition that I have a switch. In any other case, especially one in which the heat becomes an issue before the aux fan kicks in, or pre-emptive anti-heat strike, Obama style!(see sig for Obama style ;) ((google: obama icon me, there are two sites, one of the two lets you customize the text, I forget which... its fun :) )) )!!

I need a 12V Ignition source, a source of 12v that runs only when the ignition is set to start or run, to power the fan while the car is running only, until I can wire it with an electirician friend to have a thermostat, relay, and switch.
