My son and I have found a 1990 M3 with a 1997 M3 (3.2l) engine dropped in. It is a credit union repo. The owner has no documentation for the newer engine (says it only has 92k on it).

The car is in pristine condition, brembo 13" brakes, SS exhaust, EVO wing and front apron, H&R suspension, short shifter.

The engine mod included the OBD1 conversion, transmission and rear end from the 97.

THe owner says he invested $25k in all the upgrades, and the CU is looking to get $20k.

Blue book for either year is around 10K.

Any opinions are welcome!

For a motor swap car the price is probably fair for a sorted car with no issues.

Moving this to the E30 M3 section...

Yes, dependent on the quality/thoroughness of the swap.

I'd be afraid to plunk down $20k on a car with no history as well as posted above on the $13k one on S14.net
