hi all, i have a 1994 e36 sallon, ive had it lovered and just put some nice m3 alloys on it, they are 225/45/17, the problem is the tyres are now touching the bottom of the shock and rub when i drive, does anyone have a solution please!!!????????:cry::cry::cry::mad:

The amount you've lowered it , is too much , raise it about 30mm and all will be well . It's not how low you can go .

May I ask how much you have it lowered? I have a set of H&R Springs on my 325i and am about to buy M3 Contours this weekend. I'm really worrying about rubbing.

i lowered it 60mm at the front and 40 at the back, looks awesome but gonna have to put the origional springs back on the front i think cause these tyres are too wide.:cry:

Did you change the shocks as well ? 60mm is a hell of a drop you know , 40mm's bad enough .

If you drop a car 40mm or more they recomend you put shortened dampers on as well .

60mm o.O I should be safe then. My springs are probably for 40mm but I'm on M3 suspension so that may shorten it slightly.

M3 suspension alone is ~15mm (.5") lower.

An m3 to the equivalent standard 3 series , is 15mm in height i believe ? someone will correct me if i'm wrong ?
