Want to buy a Sub

Okay so I am at the point where I want to see what I can get to make my car hit the lows better.

As you all know I drive a 1994 BMW 325ic, the stock sound system blows as most of you know. I have what BMW calls the premium sound system and you all know premium or not it still sucks.

I want to buy a sound system, not a big one, but just enough so I can actually hear clean bass. I am looking for 1 10" or 1 12" with an amp. I am wondering if anyone has anything that they might be looking to sell. If you could just post up what you have(pictures) with the specs of the speakers and amp and the quality that would be sweet.

I am not looking to spend over 200

I've got a 12" Infinity Kappa 1242w. It's 1200W peak, I think 350W RMS. Iono, google the model number. :p

The sub itself hits HELLA hard. It's in a ported box that's not the right size for it, and it doesn't quite seal - so it hits hard but is incredibly inaccurate. I think if you put it in a better box it would sound sick. Or, maybe just modifying the box and gasket a bit could help. Dunno. Only have the sub though, just sold my 1200W amp on craigslist not long ago.

Speaking of that, why are you asking on here where you have to pay shipping instead of looking on craigslist?

Im gonna get the Infinity Basslinkcus It hits really well in my friends 325 and takes up hardly any trunk space at all!!!

Plus its cheap compaired to most systems.

That's fine but do you really want every panel on your car to fall off (made that one up, but they will rattle like a bitch), blow all your other speaker because they won't keep up with the sub and have no boot space?? :dunno:

To the OP, Go to onlinecarstereo.com and find the amp you would like, then print it out and go to some where like best buy and say, price match this, and boom you save money and get a warranty.

Nice idea, but no store will match an online-only store. Online-only stores don't have all the overhead retail stores have, which is why they can beat their prices. No way Best Buy will match onlinecarstereo.com.

i would run a hifonics ive had a few always been good lots of power but nice and clean... i would recommend you dynamat your trunk to stop all the rattling and it will sound 100x better!

Normaly I would think the same thing, but they did it for my friend when he bought his Rockford Amp and Sub. I mean its worth a shot.
